Pre-purchase car inspection in Muscat
An hour before you buy is worth more than any assurance afterwards. We inspect the car for you, not for the seller.
Used German cars in Oman range from genuinely well-kept to comprehensively concealed. A car can present beautifully, drive without a single warning light, and still carry a stored fault history, an accident repair, or a service book that belongs to a different vehicle.
We inspect on your behalf. Not the seller's, and with nothing to sell you at the end of it — if the answer is that the car is sound, that is the answer, and it is worth exactly as much as the one that saves you from the other car.
What the inspection covers
Diagnostic scan of every module
Not the engine alone. Stored and pending faults right across the network, including the ones cleared shortly before your viewing — which is itself a finding.
Service history against the car
What the vehicle's own modules record about mileage and servicing, checked against the book you were shown.
Mechanical inspection on the lift
Suspension, bushes, driveshafts, brakes, exhaust, and every leak that is far easier to see from underneath than from a forecourt.
Body and paint assessment
Paint depth readings and panel gaps. Accident repair is usually invisible standing up and obvious with a gauge.
Road test
Gearbox behaviour under load, steering, brakes, and the noises that only exist at speed.
Photographed findings
Everything we found, photographed, so you can negotiate on evidence or walk away knowing exactly why.
Worth inspecting before you buy
- Any private sale, at any price
- A car whose service history is verbal
- An import you have not seen in person
- A price noticeably below comparable cars
- A dashboard whose faults were cleared recently
- Anything you intend to keep more than a year

Pre-purchase inspection questions
How long does an inspection take?
- Plan for the car to be with us for a few hours. Rushing it defeats the purpose of having it done.
Can you inspect the car at the seller's location?
- The inspection needs a lift and our diagnostic equipment, so the car has to come to us. If the seller will not allow that, treat the refusal as part of your answer.
What happens if you find something?
- You get the photographs and the explanation, and what you do with them is yours. We will price the repairs if you want them priced, but the inspection is not a route into a repair order.
Do you inspect cars that are not German?
- Our depth is on the German and European marques. Ask us about anything else and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right workshop for it.
Do I get a written report?
- Yes — the findings and their photographs, held in the same system that carries every job we do, and sent to your phone.
